Utah State's Men's Tennis Team Heads to Utah Invitational

Oct. 6, 2004

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's mens tennis team will continue fall play at the Utah Invitational in Salt Lake City October 7-9. Play will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday and conclude on Saturday afternoon.

Teams from Utah, Colorado, Boise State and Weber State will be competing.

Utah State last competed at the BYU Invitational Sept. 16-18, winning 24 indivdual matches.

"Everybody's been working hard and I think that across the board we've seen improvement since BYU," said USU head coach Christian Wright. "It'll be another good opportunity to look at where we're at for the fall. More than anything we just want to go down there and play disciplined tennis and not go for too much. When we get an opportunity to attack or dictate tempo then we want to do it."

Matches will take place, weather permitting, outdoors on the courts of the Utah Sports Mall, located at 5445 South and 900 East in Salt Lake City. Otherwise, the tournament will be moved to the Eccles Tennis Center.
